Tangy Sautee Mix
This isn't really a recipe in its own right, but it's a common starting point for many other recipes. Much like mirepoix is fundamental to many French recipes or the "holy trinity" and its importance in Cajun and Creole cooking. This savoury Tyrian mixture is simply a blend of alliums -- garlic and onion specifically. So, not much to it, but definitely not a bad way to start a dish. Tangy Sauté Mix Ingredients 1 onion, chopped 6-8 cloves garlic, minced 1-2 Tbsp. oil Directions Combine all of the ingredients and use as directed.
