Hamburgers

A simple and delicious method of preparing ground beef.


Hamburgers
1 lb. ground beef
1 Tbsp. garlic paste (optional)
salt and pepper
9 slices of bread
butter (optional)

Season beef with salt and pepper. Break up one of the bread slices into small pieces to make fresh bread crumbs. Mix bread crumbs (and garlic paste, if using) into the beef. Form beef into four patties. Cook over a medium flame until good grill marks form. Flip and cook 'til the other side develops similar grill marks. While patties are cooking, toast your bread. Spread a bit of butter (if using) on one side of each slice of bread. Place bread slices buttered side down on the grill. Toast until lightly browned, then flip to toast the other side. Serve each patty between two slices of toasted bread. Add sauces and vegetables as desired.
