Chocolate Banana

A very simple sweet treat enjoyed by many Tyrians. The idea of coating bananas in chocolate seems to have originated somewhere in the Maguuma Jungle. And, although early versions of the recipe involve fresh bananas dipped in molten chocolate, I am particularly partial to the modern innovation of freezing the banana before dipping. This results in a most refreshing frozen snack!

Frozen Chocolate Banana

Ingredients

• 1 banana
• 60g chocolate
• 1 tsp. oil (optional)

Directions

1. Cut the banana crosswise into halves or quarters (depending on how large you want your portions to be).
2. Place each banana piece on a skewer. Freeze.
3. Melt chocolate. Stir in oil (if using).
4. Dip banana pieces into melted chocolate to coat. The cold banana should cause the chocolate to set almost immediately.
5. Enjoy immediately or place back in the freezer until ready to eat.
