Sage Stuffing

"Stuffing" can mean a lot of different things depending on who you ask. If you ask a Tyrian, they're apt to tell you it's a lightly fried, herbed, breadcrumb concoction. There are, of course, many variations on this theme, but I've outlined Tyrian stuffing in its most basic form below.

Sage Stuffing

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. butter1
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3/4 c. fresh breadcrumbs
  • 2 tsp. chopped fresh sage
  • salt & pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Melt the butter over medium-low heat.
  2. Add the onion and cook for another 5 minutes.
  3. Add the breadcrumbs and sage and season to taste with salt and pepper and cook for another 2 minutes.

1 Oil works just as well if you need to make this vegan, I just have a tendency to reach for the butter first in most cases. Back
